What We Do

Worcester Arts Workshop has been a community arts hub for nearly 40 years. We now aim to work with vulnerable, marginalised and hard to reach individuals and communities, especially young people through a high quality, interdisciplinary, socially engaged artistic participatory programme which aims to result in positive change and enjoyable experiences in the local community.

We are an arts based community hub. We support and develop local emerging talent, offering emerging artists training, live and virtual platforms and pathways to employment.

We have a number of fantastic spaces available for hire, from a pottery studio to a gallery cellar; and welcome countless organisations through our door.

As a registered charity, we are incredibly grateful for those who volunteer their time to support the smooth running of the vibrant building.

WHAT WE DO

"Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun."

- Mary Lou Cook

It’s a really exciting time at Worcester Arts Workshop. Under the leadership of Hannah Phillips, Director of Transformation, we’re changing the way we do things, with the ultimate aim of becoming the region’s leading inclusive arts and learning centre for young people.

We believe that creativity is for everyone, and that taking part in the arts is vital to individual wellbeing and positive change. It’s our mission to support young people in developing their creativity, by offering high quality training, projects and artistic experiences – and to learn from every young person who gets involved.

Our journey continues, and we’d love you to be part of it. Take a look at What’s On and our current Projects – and if you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact us with your ideas.
