New commission for Black, Asian and minority ethnic, emerging artists

01/07/2020

To help eliminate barriers for emerging artists from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, we are very pleased to offer a new commission.

We would like to invite applicants who identify as Black, Asian or minority ethnic and who are based in Worcestershire to apply for a  single, one-off £250 commission for a new piece of work, inspired by the artists’ response to the Black Lives Matter campaign.

Applicants can work across any and all media – dance, poetry, performance, visual arts, photography, new writing, digital media, music.

If you are interested in applying, please send information about your work, along with a proposal for the new work to Hannah.Phillips@worcesterartsworkshop.org.uk. The closing date is 15 July 2020 and one artist will be selected as the recipient of the £250 commission by the end of July 2020.

With thanks to Arts Council England Emergency Response Funding
