What should I do if I believe I’m entitled to a refund and haven’t yet received one?
Anyone entitled to a refund should already have been contacted and reimbursed. For any further enquiries please contact Simon Creed at SC.WAWfirstname.lastname@example.org
How can I collect art work from the WAW studios?
Anyone wishing to collect art work from Worcester Arts Worcester is invited to do so on Saturday 5th September, 10am – 12pm where Kay Mullett will meet them. If you can’t make that date and time please contact Simon Creed at SC.WAWemail@example.com for further details.
How was WAW funded?
WAW was not core funded, it relied on income from courses, the cafe and bar, box office and hires. However, through a period of transformation WAW did receive project funding from ACE, Bransford Trust, The Elmley Foundation, National Lottery Awards, Severn Arts and Worcester Arts Council. WAW had received two years ‘Transformation’ funding from Worcester City Council which ended in June 2020.
WAW hasn’t gone into administration, so why is the company permanently closing?
Worcester Arts Workshop’s Board of Trustees have decided to permanently close WAW before running into financial difficulties. Continuingin an unpredictable climate with no income would be financially and ethically irresponsible.
What will happen to any assets WAW owns?
The building is owned by Worcestershire County Council and the lease will be given back. Any residual funds will be used for the benefit of the community.
We will be looking to re-home large items and equipment. Please contact Simon Creed at SC.WAWfirstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
